Job Summary

Client is seeking an experienced React or Next.js Developer to support the development, enhancement, and maintenance of modern, scalable, and high-performance web applications for its e-commerce business.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience building responsive user interfaces, developing reusable components, integrating APIs, and optimizing web application performance. Experience with e-commerce platforms, particularly Shopify, is highly desirable.

The candidate should be comfortable collaborating with backend engineers, designers, product managers, and other technical stakeholders to deliver reliable, user-friendly digital experiences.

Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain modern web applications using React.js and/or Next.js.
• Build responsive, reusable, and accessible UI components using JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Develop and maintain front-end functionality for e-commerce websites and customer-facing applications.
• Integrate REST APIs and GraphQL services to retrieve and manage application data.
• Collaborate with backend developers to connect front-end applications with server-side services.
• Optimize application performance, page load times, rendering, and overall user experience.
• Implement responsive designs compatible with desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
• Troubleshoot bugs, resolve technical issues, and improve application stability.
• Follow coding standards, participate in code reviews, and maintain clean, reusable code.
• Work closely with UI/UX designers and product teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Support testing, debugging, deployment, and ongoing application enhancements.
• Contribute to SEO optimization, accessibility, and web performance best practices.

Required Qualifications
• Strong hands-on experience with React.js or Next.js.
• Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and/or TypeScript.
• Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, and modern front-end development.
• Experience building reusable components and managing application state.
• Experience integrating REST APIs and/or GraphQL.
• Knowledge of front-end performance optimization and debugging.
• Understanding of Git and collaborative software development workflows.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to work onsite in San Ramon, California.

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Shopify or other e-commerce platforms.
• Experience with Shopify storefront customization or headless commerce.
• Familiarity with Next.js server-side rendering (SSR), static site generation (SSG),
